A playroom is a place in which to play, imagine, create and have fun. The space can become very cluttered and disorganised incredibly quickly making activities more difficult and less enjoyable for children and grown-ups alike.

Together we will declutter, removing unwanted toys and games, old used paints, broken pens and pencils, dressing up clothes that no longer fit. Decluttering children’s toys should be done with care as an old toy or game no longer played with can be an absolute favourite that they are very attached to. Ideally, the children will be involved in the process as learning at an early age to let go of toys (possessions) to create space is a positive thing particularly if toys can be donated to a kids charity, a playgroup or a hospital. Your son or daughter can then understand that items do have a second use and can bring joy to other children.

By creating a simple system that will contain and organise the different types of toys and activities and by using age appropriate labelling, the youngsters can quickly and easily learn to return items to their ‘home’. Think pre-school.

Much more fun can be had in a clear floor space or on a clutter free table where they can let their
imagination and creativity run riot.
